The need to have qualified investment professionals who are able to undertake analysis of investments from both the perspectives of return and risk has never been so acute as after the global market crash of 2008. The increased level of sophistication in the investment markets as also opening up of markets to foreign investors have further increased the demand for investment professionals who can blend sound theoretical analytical aspects of investment decision making.

Description
The DIAR (Diploma in Investment Analysis and Research) is an advanced professional certification designed and structured to provide investment professionals the requisite skills in investment analysis, research; valuation, risk assessment etc. that will help them enhance the value they add to their organization thereby achieving a robust career growth. The course, while structured on the lines of global investment and financial analysis benchmarks, has been tailored to local management practices, wherever required.

The Advantage
The DIAR, an approved program, is delivered by a judicious mix of qualified CFAs or Chartered Financial Analysts professionals with industry experience and University's own investment analysis faculty to maximize the participant's learning experience.

The program also enables the students to be able to pursue and appear for Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Level 1 exam conducted by the CFA Institute, USA.

The course, delivered over 100 hours would cover the following topics in detail:

Entry Requirements
Candidates for the DIAR are expected to be graduates, preferably finance and accounting majors. While there is no experience requirements, having some exposure to investments may be beneficial

Completion Requirements
To be awarded the DIAR, students will need to pass two exams of two hours duration which would be multiple choice format and would take place as under:

  • Mid-term Exam: At the end of 45 hours of tutoring
  • Final Exam: At the end of the course.

Length of Program / Fee
The length of the program would be 90 hours including the duration of the exams.
