Professional Diploma in Human Resource Management

HR practitioners are faced with unprecedented challenges in meeting the needs of competitive business organizations. To meet these challenges successfully requires up-to-date information and current perspectives on the strategic alignment of the HR function with corporate objectives.

This professional course in HRM offers a current, comprehensive and practical grounding in the major areas required of a personnel generalist. All courses are conveniently scheduled and offer practical experience as well as expert guidance from instructors who are practitioners or consultants in the field. In addition to these HR skills, the participant is also helped to improve both IT skills and personal development skills which will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the employee in the work place.

There are four modules in the complete HRM certification program, each of them being composed of four different courses. Students must complete all the courses of the lower level module before proceeding to the next level. It is strongly advised that students complete the courses in the following sequence:

Module 1: HRM Essentials

Module 3: IT Skills

3.1 Introduction to IT & Windows
3.2 MS Word
3.3 MS Excel
3.4 MS Outlook+ Internet
3.5 Power Point
3.6 Typing (English & Arabic)

Module 4: Personal Development

4.1 Work Ethics & Etiquette
4.2 Goal Setting, planning and prioritizing to achieve these goals
4.3 Self-management and personal effectiveness
4.4 Time & Stress Management
4.5 Working in Teams
4.6 Handling conflict & Negotiating skills
4.7 Customer service skills (internal & external customers)

The individual must have a High School Certificate with a minimum score of 60%. Good communication skills and work experience in an HR Department would be preferable.

Four months. Classes are held in the evenings from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. or 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
