Bilingual Administrator – Registration & Admission

University of Dubai is a fast growing institution of higher education with a wide range of academic, research and training programs in Business and Information Technology. The Human Resources Department is looking for a Bilingual Administrator – Human Resources. The University invites interested applicants for immediate commencement of employment.

Position Summary

  • The Registration Department Executive is in charge of the processes of advising, registering, and course Add/Drop process.
  • The position handles the process of course transfer for students enrolling in UD.
  • The position provides intensive academic advising for students who have academic warnings; it also oversees student attendance & absence records, handles the process of registering for courses off campus, in addition to following up on the sponsored and scholar students.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Advise & register students during registration period & add/drop period
  2. Register students in repeated courses
  3. Complete procedures for transfer students
  4. Handel the Academic warnings process
  5. Revise the registration records on the system and print the registration forms after each registration period
  6. Correspond with the students who plan to take summer courses at another university
  7. Create, update & maintain class schedules on the university system
  8. Generate regular reports to be sent to the sponsors (Transcripts, attendance & schedule updates)
  9. Create and maintain faculty evaluation
  10. Organize placement exams bookings for new students
  11. Help in preparing reports & statistics maybe requested by the management
  12. Answer phone calls, reply to emails & provide students with information based on UD policy
  13. Support the process of creation of graduation certificates, name check, major check etc.
  14. Hand-over the graduation certificate for the students
  15. Collect and process student forms (Hold registration, changing major, changing information, withdrawal, Graduation, & Exit Survey)
  16. Prepare all types of Arabic & English letters requested by students.

Position Required Skills:

  • Bachelor degree.
  • Previous experience in admission and registrant area is preferred
  • Excellent command of both English & Arabic language
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with Students and colleagues
  • Ability to plan, organizes, and implements assigned responsibilities, to work well under pressure to meet established deadlines
  • Problem solver & solutions-oriented
  • Database management skills, report writing, attention to details, ability to import data, maintain records, and generate reports
  • Proficiency with MS office

Executive – Human Resources

The Human Resources Department is looking for a bilingual Executive – Human Resources, with 3-5 years of experience as generalist in Human Resources. The University invites interested applicants for immediate commencement of employment. A candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management and previous employment within academic institutions will be a plus.

Position Summary:
Provides professional human resource services to assigned university colleges/departments and employees including: benefits, classification, compensation, employee relations, employment services, UD policies, and salary planning. Advises and consults with managers on employee and human resources issues.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Reviews university human resources policies and procedures; determines actions to be taken and advises department heads, employees and the public on what actions must be taken; may also function in an informational role in areas where specific advice is not needed.
  2. Investigates circumstances surrounding disciplinary actions; informs departments of procedural policy; advises if an exception to policy is warranted; assists in the mediation of employee grievances.
  3. Communicates the UAE MOHESR requirements to selected candidates and guides them on completing the required documents to obtain the Ministry approval.
  4. Coordinates the relocation formalities including issuing visa, purchasing air-tickets (or cash in lieu), pick up at the airport and hotel accommodation.
  5. Performs routine data input into a computerized human resources information system to establish and update applicant and employee records and benefits information.
  6. Receives, reviews, ensures the accuracy and completeness of, compile and/or maintain human resource data, documents and records such as leave and salary records and employee data forms.
  7. Review, complies and recommends group medical and life insurance policies. Serves as point of contact to insurance providers.
  8. Serves as the point of contact with university's legal counsel for all relevant issues.

Position Required Skills:

  • Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
  • Knowledge of principles, practices and standards of human resource administration
  • Knowledge of automated payroll processes and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office program

College of Law: Full-time Assistant/Associate/Full Professors

The CBA is looking for Assistant, Associate and Full Professors, and invites interested applicants for commencement of employment in Spring 2015. A candidate must possess a Ph.D. degree from AACSB/EFMD accredited universities in the following areas:
