University of Minnesota
For the Study Abroad Program  
27th December 2009 to 16th January, 2010

Visit by Business school students from University of Minnesota, USA.

The Center for Management & Professional Development (CMPD), the corporate training and community outreach department of the University of Dubai, Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry is hosting a group of 25 business students from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. The students are on a study trip from 27th December 2009 to 16th January, 2010 to the UAE and will be visiting the emirates of Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi and exploring the history, culture, politics and economy of the emirates.

The focus of this program is to understand the various approaches taken by each emirate in their march towards progress and development.  In this regard the students will be attending lecture sessions by expert speakers, visiting culture and heritage sites & most importantly meeting govt and private organizations in each of the emirates, to understand the role each of them have played in promoting business and industry in the UAE.

The program has been developed, designed and coordinated by CMPD as per requirements specified by LAC and CMPD will be handling the complete logistics while the group will be in the UAE. Similar programs are provided to MBA students from USA as part of their Study Abroad Program.
